In the 2011 Lakeshore Bonspiel, Hudson Legion teams won these trophies:
the six Hudson Legion team which are taking part in the Lakeshore Bonspiel did well during the first weekend of competition. In the 17 draws that they have played they came away with seven wins and 10 losses. During the second weekend of competition, the six teams won six of the 11 games in which they played and they brought home three trophies: - Lynda Putnam’s rink won the C division Jacques Cartier trophy - Peter Mansell’s rink won the C division consolation trophy - Barbara Robinson’s rink won the F division consolation trophy
In addition to the regular curling events that take place at our club every year, there were other special events that were worth noting.

Four teams will be trying to win the right to represent the Hudson Legion Curling Club at the National Championships which will take place in March right here in Hudson. A double elimination format has been adopted for this tournament. The schedule of draws is shown below. Good luck to all the teams!
Jan. 29 update: Lynda Putnam and Tony Marquis rinks won their first round draws. In the second round of the day, the Tony Marquis and Jack Crombie rinks won their draws. In the final match, it was all tied up at 3 points apiece after six ends. In the 7th end, Tony Marquis had a chance to take a three-point lead with his hammer shot but his attempt at a raised takeout just missed allowing Jack Crombie to steal a point. Feb. 6 update: Jack Crombie continued right where he left off last Sunday. For the second straight week his rink defeated Tony Marquis’ rink to earn the right to play at the Legion Nationals as the host team. He controlled the front of the house and was able to steal six points and win 8-2 after playing only six ends.
