A group photo of the two teams that played in the final match of the tournament. That game was won by Team Jim Putnam in an extra end over Team Jennifer Marquis. The extra end was necessary after Jay de la Durantaye made the shot of the season in the 6th end to score 3 points and tie the game when it looked like Jim’s team was heading for a sure victory. The shot that Jay made is shown below.

In the 6th end, playing the blue rocks and trailing 6-3, with the last rock Jay de la Durantaye has to clear his own guard stone then tick the blue stone at the top of the house to push it into a scoring position and make sure his own shooter sticks around to score the 3 points his team needs to force an extra end. To the amazement of all the people sitting behind the glass, Jay makes the shot and receives the well deserved congratulations from all the curlers on the ice.
