- wins and losses are worth different number of points depending on which teams are playing against each other:
- two Division “A” teams: win = 10, loss = 6, default = 0 points
- two Division “B” teams: win = 9, loss = 5, default = 0 points
- one Division “A” and one Division “B” team: win = 9.5, loss = 5.5, default = 0 points
- in case of a tied game after eight ends, a full extra end must be played to determine the winning team

- the five teams with the most points among all 10 teams at the end of Round 3 will be placed in Division “A” for the next round. The five teams with the least points will be assigned to Division “B”.
